Patchwork Architecture is an award winning practice founded in 2011 by Ben Mitchell-Anyon and Sally Ogle, based in Wellington and Whanganui. The duo launched their studio by physically building their first project, the DogBox, connecting theoretical understanding with hands-on construction craft. Patchwork creates bold, beautiful, efficient, and economical residential, commercial, and civic spaces, often from modest materials, with a genuine sense of ingenuity and cleverness responding to challenging sites.
The practice has earned multiple accolades, including wins at the 2025 New Zealand and Wellington Architecture Awards, reflecting a deep connection to the New Zealand landscape and its people.
