A Rich History:
Originally a wheat farm established in the 1860s by French brothers John and Peter Butel, Millbrook’s legacy endures through restored buildings and the historic tree-lined avenue. The Butel brothers contributed to Arrowtown’s early development, including its first water race and electricity attempt.
Modern Transformation:
After serving as a World War I hospital and later returning to farming, the Ishii family transformed Millbrook into a world-class resort in 1993. Today, it features luxurious accommodations, five dining venues, two 18-hole championship golf courses, a day spa, and conference facilities.
