Malcolm Walker Architects is a Ponsonby, Auckland based practice founded by director Malcolm Walker over 30 years ago. Raised in Hokitika, Malcolm graduated from the University of Auckland’s School of Architecture in 1976, developing a lifelong interest in heritage and history alongside his architectural career.
Together with a small team, the practice carries out renovations, new builds, and small commercial projects, with a particular focus on residential alterations and additions. The studio has earned multiple NZIA awards, including national recognition for Housing Alterations and Additions in 2015, reflecting Malcolm’s deep passion for creating spaces that are genuinely good to be in.
