Lucy G Design is a professional photographer and architect, and in 2013 combined her design skills to create a kitchen splashback and wall mural business.
Specialising in landscape, nature, fine art and architectural photography alongside her business, the inspiration for this Auckland-based artist comes from New Zealand’s native birds, trees and flowers.
Her tropically-themed New Zealand bird artworks really celebrate nature with many photographic pieces composed together to produce digital mixed media works that look like surreal paintings, with flamboyant colours and lots of hidden detail.
These invaluable skills gained in the architectural and interior industry along with a continued motivation to think outside the square have made her the all-round ‘creative’ she is today, and can be seen in her innovative printed splashbacks and other products.
She also specialises in printed lampshades, and has been involved in many custom jobs for clients such as the lift shafts for the Jasmax designed NZI Building in Auckland.
