Julian Guthrie Architecture is an Auckland-based practice led by director Julian Guthrie, who has headed the studio since 1999. Julian leads a team of architects and graduates specialising in the design of innovative, enduring private homes and beach houses across New Zealand.
The practice has received numerous New Zealand Institute of Architects awards, including recognition for the Salisbury Villa, Meadowbank, Muriwai, Mahia, and Takapuna House projects, and its work has been published extensively in local and international publications. Each project is approached as a unique opportunity to express the qualities of the site and the client’s brief.
