For over five decades, Brittin Builders has been a highly respected construction business employing over 20 full-time staff, and encompassing both an in-house joinery workshop and painting division.
The company’s story began in 1967 when a 25-year-old Roger Brittin commenced his building apprenticeship constructing a brick and timber homestead at 475 St Georges Road, Havelock North—a property that still serves as both the Brittin family home and company headquarters.
Roger’s son, Jason, grew up on-site during school holidays and formally joined the business at age 15. In 2010, he took over the company and now builds homes for the children of Roger’s original clients.
In 2015, Brittin Builders expanded by acquiring Parkhill Joinery, enhancing its bespoke heritage renovation capabilities. This was followed by the launch of Brittin Painting in 2018, ensuring unsurpassed, standards in finished results. Jason and his five sons proudly continue the Brittin third generation legacy.
