Creating interior spaces to be proud of.
Jodie Cameron is an interior designer based in Nelson, New Zealand. Having studied at the University of Alberta (Canada) and WELTEC in Wellington, she founded LIFESTYLING Interior Design in 2017.
Jodie has worked on residential, corporate, medical and education projects in Nelson, Blenheim and Wellington and has relationships with over 100+ suppliers here and overseas.
Her particular skillset involves working with clients to build a cohesive space – with a focus on developing an aesthetic that feels right for those living or working there and their lifestyle. This often means sourcing an eclectic mix of furniture and fittings from both renown brands and Trade Me to personalise an interior scheme.
No two projects are ever the same – so it’s hard to define her creative style.
“There is definitely a focus on quality – but that doesn’t always have to mean ‘expensive’. I have the ability to assess where the budget is best spent and to guide clients through a seemingly endless array of options. I’m a mum with fluffy cats, dogs and children, so I understand that homes are not showrooms, and must hold up to daily life.”
“Clients come to me because they become overwhelmed, don’t know where to start, like too many options, or are time poor. It used to be a luxury to hire a designer, but I think people are now realising the value of ‘home’- and creating a space that they really enjoy being in and that works.”
