Transcending Ordinary

Stroud Homes South Auckland

Building outstanding houses in great locations is what Stroud Homes South Auckland is all about, and with over 140 plans to choose from all with various façade options, it is easy to see why they are a cut above the rest.

All of their new homes now incorporate the Wise’s home automation system so everything can be ready at the flick of a switch or by voice with Alexa – from curtains to lights.

Business owner Craig Shorrock has been involved in the building industry for more than 30 years, and has a wealth of construction knowledge and a passion for problem solving.

Beginning as a quantity surveyor, Craig later moved onto project management, then speculated building and finally contract house building.

His end results were soon recognised and he developed a reputation for high quality recladding of homes, with an impressive 200 projects over the past 10 years.

Now focusing on building new homes for clients for Stroud Homes, Craig loves the satisfaction of building something from scratch, and also enjoys the sense of pride achieved with the final product.

Having been in business for three years for Stroud Homes, this is the company’s first show home  in South Auckland – the Clevedon 360, that is named after the area it was built in.

A double-storey home with an attached single storey minor dwelling, the show home is a fine example of home and business
all in one.

Stroud Homes now use the new show home as their office, so anyone wanting to take a drive out to the Cleveland Village in the weekend, should pop in and take a look for themselves at this stunning new build.

The Hampton-style home works well within the rural community and suits the country environment perfectly.

A colonial home made from weatherboards, it also features a media room and study, and a spacious kitchen, dining and living areas to the rear.

Upstairs the master bedroom is complete with a walk-in robe and ensuite. Three additional bedrooms surround a child’s retreat. The two bedroom minor dwelling is to the left of the garage, perfect for teenagers or extended family – or as a separate work space.

Craig said there is a lot of land becoming available rurally in South Auckland, and Stroud Homes is excited to be able to offer people a range of options for house builds.

Stroud Homes certainly know how to deliver, and with seven branches around the country we literally have New Zealand covered.

Even more on target, once your building consent has been processed, our team will start work on your new home within a week.  We stand by our promise.

Stroud Homes is taking it one step further by working closely with clients to provide feasibility studies on any particular house site to advise of all the options available for the home owner.

Craig has a wealth of knowledge, and is also proudly the first New Zealander to be invited by the Government to become the first licensed building practitioner, when the Licensed Builders Practitioner Scheme began 14 years ago.

He received his license from Shane Jones, who was the Minister of Housing at the time.

“We really take pride in dealing with our clients – we build them their home and make it enjoyable.”
