Simply Radiant

Blue Summit Construction

Blue Summit Construction was involved with this extensive architectural build in an inner city suburb in Christchurch.

On this small 7.5 metre wide site, the clients wanted a pool, spa and sauna along with their new  house, as well as storage space.

Working on a project like this is when you realise that good construction is so much more than skilled building.

One of our core values is communication and this is what we drew on to get the job done. The project’s success came down to the soft skills – good open and consistent communication with the clients, the architectural designer, subcontractors and most importantly the neighbours.

This is how we kept up consistent access to the site, a check on timelines, and progressed the job to plan.

The end result was a three bedroom, there bathroom home with all the extra features as well as a separate area for Airbnb potential.

TESTIMONIAL

“It’s all very well designing something that looks great, but because we were dealing with a site where millimetres counted, it was a case of Blue Summit being involved almost from the get-go so we could make sure what we were dreaming of and what we were putting on draft drawings could actually be built.”

Blue Summit Construction started in 2008, when builder Michael decided to become self employed. He had primarily worked for group housing companies throughout Christchurch, whilst steadily growing his new company.

After the Canterbury earthquakes in 2011, Blue Summit was managing up to 25 group housing builds at a time – the majority being earthquake rebuilds.

Michael is joined by Miranda Knapton who is your initial contact person when you call or email Blue Summit Construction.

She has over 20 years customer service experience, and will guide you through the home design, contract and supplier selection stages.
