Candela Design is a mother-daughter business duo based in the Waikato, specialising in interior design for both residential and commercial properties.
Chrissie and Leonie started the business in 2017 and are starting to establish a real name for themselves in the industry, particularly now they have a beautiful homeware store to showcase their products.
Chrissie is the talent behind the business having competed a Diploma in Interior Design, and Leonie looks after the homeware store, with her eye for all things beautiful. The pair work well together, so naturally it was an easy fit, Chrissie said.
Candela Design is about making sure that each interior space is unique to the people that are living or working in it, and offer every type of service from colour schemes to window treatments, and finish with the high-end furnishings inside as well.
The homestore is stocked with the latest furniture, throws and cushions, planter boxes, art, and ornaments, that are purchased from a New Zealand supplier that sources the most luxurious products from overseas.
Based in Gordonton and covering the Waikato area, Candela Design has everything you need to make your living or working space a true work of art.
Chrissie has a love of old villas and has brought many renovation projects to life with the way that she pays homage to the heritage of a building.
With this featured project in Morrinsville (a new build), she took into consideration the location of the house in a small country town, and brought in some rural elements such as rattan side tables and shelving mixed with solid wrought iron pieces.
Working through each home or office room by room, she starts to get a true feel of the place she is dealing with before deciding what would work best.
“I look at a range of things and then work in with the client to what suits them best,” she said.
