On a kiwifruit orchard just out of Te Puke, Precise Builders completed a 12-month major renovation of this beautiful 40-year-old home.
Our company specialises in large-scale renovations and with the current restrictions on international travel, many property owners are choosing to upgrade their homes instead.
Making use of the two stories of this rural property, and to better capture the ocean views, we built a dorma with a large window on the master bedroom upstairs.
A full length glass wall ensuite situated right behind the king bed also gives the owners a spectacular view of their rural paradise, while relaxing in their bathroom.
We opened up this lovely home to give more of an indoor-outdoor flow with bi-folding stacker doors between the lounge and outdoor dining area, and provided all new joinery.
The old tiled deck outside has been replaced with Garapa to blend in with the existing timber doors and ceilings throughout the rest of the house.
Another small guest bathroom has been tucked in behind the stairs, making use of the extra space, and custom-made shelving has been added to both sides of the fireplace in the main lounge.
We also had the entire property landscaped with new walkways and planter boxes, and the outdoor pool area has been completely recoated, with solar panels added to the roof to naturally heat the water.
The left side of the house has an extension added for the kids bedrooms and lounge, and the brand new open plan kitchen features a scullery with its own mini bar.
Our clients wanted to retain as many original features of their beautiful home as possible, including all the Rimu doors and exposed trusses on the inside ceiling. The Tawa timber starking tongue and groove roof was brought back to life.
