MMB Builders took an outdated 1970s home and gave it a complete new refreshed look and feel.
Situated in Mangere, the 10-week renovation involved changing out the classic mustard yellow wallpaper, brown vinyl flooring, old carpet and yellow stained glass panels, and turning it into something more modern.
A three-bedroom home with one office, internal garage and two storeys, we took an existing single garage with carport and demolished the site, and undertook extensive earthworks to complete the new public drainage system required.
We ripped out all the flooring within the home and upgraded to new plush carpet through all the rooms, staircases, hallways and lounge, with new laminate timber flooring for the kitchen, dining and laundry. New commercial carpet was added to the lower level internal garage.
Our team ripped out the old bathroom and toilet and upgraded both areas with new modern grey marble with white vein tiles, a new double slider shower, fittings and fixtures for both bathroom and toilet.
As the existing kitchen was fairly new, we added more space by removing some existing cabinetry, and added a new stone top benchtop to blend in nicely with the wooden flooring.
We gave the home a new paint job on the exterior as well – from a pale peach colour to a new contemporary Resene Raven and Grey Friars colours.
New window treatment added with Dual Blinds installed right throughout the home, new joinery hardware, new lighting fixtures and update the old electrical circuit boards to a new circuit.
