Creative, Functional, Unique

Cuco Design

With more New Zealanders looking to express their individuality through interior design, CuCo Design creates copper art installations for all of the functional areas in the home.

Professional artist Jasmine Keir teamed up with sales and marketing manager Michelle van der Park to produce unique integrated installations that extend into every area of the home – whether it be behind your fireplace, a bathroom door, feature wall or splash back in the kitchen.

The business is still in its infancy but has been “an incredibly fast journey,” with Jasmine dividing her time between art studios in Northland and Southland, and Michelle managing the design business in Cambridge.

Their journey began in July 2020, when they saw a gap in the housing market for functional individualised artwork.

As a former real estate agent, Michelle understands that presentation is everything, and thrives on helping to create her clients’ individual masterpiece.

“It doesn’t take much to add a feature into your home to give it that ‘wow’ factor.”

Copper has become so popular in many ways because not only is it organic and Eco friendly, but also oxidises with natural ingredients – so no two works are ever the same.

“Copper is a living product, all of our installations are made with love.” Michelle said.

Clients can choose from either the portfolio collection, integrating the elements of earth, air, fire and water, or create their own individual commission with Jasmine.

“When you love what you’re doing, the passion is what drives you and you can’t fight it,” Jasmine explains.
