A Warm Welcome

About The Project

The site had big views, so the idea was to capture them in a big way.

The outcome: a stunning two-storey five- bedroom home designed to make the most of the Coromandel Peninsula coastal vistas.

Perched on a steep site overlooking one of New Zealand’s best-known beaches, the 326sqm north-facing house is a flawless retreat that’s ideal for enjoying holidays and entertaining friends and family. Inside is a vast lounge and dining area with a bluestone encased double-sided fireplace.

This room leads out to a big hardwood deck with raking posts and frameless balustrades, so the views are not interrupted. Rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, doors and decks are also designed to take in the Pacific and the shades-of-green landscapes that surround it. If you’re working at the kitchen island, you’re in prime position to enjoy it all.

Three bathrooms, another living room, a study, double garage and plenty of storage ensure there is room for everyone and their toys. The exterior cladding is Ramarama bluestone, Accoya vertical weatherboards and stack bond bricks/blocks finished to a high standard.
