Refresh Renovations might be successful globally but it is our local South Auckland team that is delivering outstanding results. The Franklin and Manukau/Eastern Bays franchises, both owned by Kim Reiche, received three medals at the ‘People’s Choice’ awards in 2020.
With branches now in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom, the success for our company in New Zealand by a local team shows just how much we love what we do. Leading a team of two renovation consultants, a lead project co-ordinator, two project managers, and a costing and finance division, Kim said her team has a wealth of experience and that was hugely important in her industry.
What she enjoys about her job is finding solutions for her clients, and the fact that no two days are ever the same. “This business can be tricky and I thrive on that. But we have a really down-to-earth and honest group of staff. “Renovating is a personal thing and we try to install that into our staff.”
With her Interior Architecture degree she has worked on some of New Zealand’s most prestigious projects including in the Queenstown Lakes area and Auckland. Purchasing the Franklin franchise nine years ago, she then bought the Manukau and Eastern Bays franchise, and is now tapping into more of the high end market
“My specialty is project management, resolving renovation issues and finding suitable solutions in support of the architects and designers. “While we partner with a brilliant design team – it is important for us to understand exactly what can and cannot be done in a renovation.
“We handle the project from conception to completion including all consents, engineering, specifications, etc to final hand over.”
The team’s Gold medal for the ‘Full House Renovation’ of the Year, Silver for ‘Open Plan Living’ Renovation of the Year, and a Bronze for ‘Conversion Renovation’ of the Year in 2020, is just some of its recent success. In 2018 and 2019 they also won Franchise of the Year followed by a runner-up, as well as multiple other awards within the company.
Kim puts the team’s success down to confidently striving to be the best, consistently motivated to improve and looking at challenges in a different way – ensuring that they’re delivering the best possible result for our clients.
