Spacecraft Architects was formed in 2012 by Caro Robertson and Tim Gittos, bringing design experience across residential, commercial, and public architecture in New Zealand and abroad. Hands-on construction work, from furniture to full house builds, gives the team deep understanding of putting things together. Spacecraft creates beautiful, affordable architecture rooted in climatic and cultural context, with environmental responsibility underpinning every project.
Their work spans sites from the far north to the deep south, earning national recognition including the 2025 NZIA Sir Miles Warren Named Award for Strip Mall and the 2023 NZIA National Architecture Award for Block Party.
