Tennent Brown Architects is a multi-award winning Wellington studio with a deep empathy for the way people live, work, and play. Formed in 2006 by directors Hugh Tennent and Ewan Brown, both 2024 NZIA Gold Medal recipients, the practice believes architecture is built around people, translating individual and organisational stories into built form.
Work spans commercial, education, Māori, spiritual, sporting, and residential projects nationwide, earning numerous NZIA National and Branch Awards over three decades. Tennent Brown is the first New Zealand architecture practice to be both JUST labelled and B Corp certified, reflecting genuine commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
