Stevens Lawson Architects is a design-intensive Auckland practice founded by directors Nicholas Stevens and Gary Lawson in 2002. Based in Parnell, the studio works across the full spectrum of architecture — residential, multi-residential, public, commercial, educational, cultural, interior and landscape design — with a deep commitment to producing innovative buildings that engage with New Zealand’s culture and landscape.
Their aim is an architecture of humanism, spirit, and community. Stevens Lawson has won numerous accolades, including the NZIA’s 2022 Gold Medal, 21 NZIA National Awards, and Home of the Year a record four times, cementing their place among New Zealand’s leading practices.
